Sony Vegas 9.0c Installation on Windows 7 64bit Issues

If you get a "Requirements not met. Press OK to Exit Install." error when trying to install Sony Vegas 9.0c on Windows 7 64bit, and you are certain that you have installed the following:


Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x64)

1. Make sure that you DO NOT press the OK button on the error from the Sony Setup program (if you do, open the installer again and get it to the screen you see above).
2. Bring up the Run dialog (Windows Key + R) and type the following in it:
   %TEMP%
3. Press enter.
4. Find the folder "SonyInstall_1" and open it.
5. Run vegas90.msi as Administrator and go through the setup as normal.
6. Once the installation is complete you can now click the OK button on the error box from above.

Now you can open the program as normal and register :)
